Apollo Endosurgery Gets $47.6M

Austin-based Apollo Endosurgery has raised $47.6M in a funding round, the company announced this morning, for its endoscopy products. The firm said the funding came from investors Novo A/S, Remeditex Ventures, and CPMG, Inc., along with prior investors PTV Sciences and H.I.G. BioVentures. Apollo is developing endoscopy devices, which it says have recently been FDA cleared to help surgeons remove large, flat precancerous gastrointestinal lesions and polyps. The firm is headed by Dennis L. McWilliams. More information »
