Bazaarvoice Completes Longboard Media Acquisition
Austin-based Bazaarvoice, the provider of ratings and review, and other e-commerce software, said today that it has completed its integration of Longboard Media, which it acquired in November, into its Bazaarvoice Media business. Bazaarvoice said that as a result, it's created a new unit called the Bazaarvoice Media Labs, which will focus on research and development, and create new products and services to help advertisers better target consumers.
Bazaarvoice acquired San Francisco-based Longboard Media in November of 2012, in a deal worth approximately $32.7M in a combination of cash and stock. According to Bazaarvoice, the new unit will look beyond the standard impressions, clicks, and interaction time to help advertisers with their campaigns.
