Cirrus Appoints Executive
Semiconductor manufacturer Cirrus Logic Inc. reported Tuesday that it has hired Scott Anderson as senior vice president and general manager of its Mixed-Signal Audio division. Anderson, Cirrus said, succeeds Jason Rhode, who became the Austin, Texas-based company's president and chief executive officer in May. Describing him as a 27-year veteran of the semiconductor industry, Cirrus said Anderson hails from Freescale Semiconductor, where he had served as president and chief operating officer since its formation from Motorola in 2004. Prior to that, Anderson held various engineering and management positions at Motorola since joining the company's SPS division 1978. Cirrus’ Mixed-Signal Audio division produces analog and mixed-signal components such as data converters, Class D amplification products and interface circuits.
