Click Forensics: Click Fraud Rate Down In Q4
Austin-based Click Forensics, which provides online advertising quality and click fraud detection and reporting, reports today that it found that the overall, industry click fraud rate for Q4 of 2009 was 15.3 percent, down from the 17.1 percent rate reported in Q4 of 2008. According to the firm, the rate was the lowest in three years for the holiday shopping season. Click Forensics has been tracking fraud in cost-per-click advertising campaigns. The firm said the most click fraud it detected in Q4 of 2009 came from Ukraine, Japan, and the Czech Republic.
