Equinix Opens New Data Center In Dallas
Data center operator Equinix said today that it has opened up a new data center in Dallas--the fifth Dallas data center facility for the company. Equinix said its new data center at the International Business Exchange (IBX) will help support demand for its services in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The company said its data centers now host over 100 network service providers, with connectivity to over 40 cloud service providers and 30 content and digital media companies. Equinix said it invested over $34M in the first phase of the new, DA6 data center. The company said the addition of its DA6 data center will bring its total footprint in Dallas to over 230,000 square feet across all five of its data centers.
