Frisco-based GENBAND announced this morning that it has acquired Aztek Networks, a developer of switching and IP gateway products. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced by the companies. GENBAND said it will use the technology from Aztek to bolster its product offerings. Aztek was venture backed by Verizon, Grotech Capital Group, Legend Ventures, Sequel Venture Partners, and Telecommunication Development Fund.
