Intervoice Acquisition Closes
Convergys Corporation said Thursday that the firm has closed its acquisition of Dallas-based Intervoice, a publisher of interactive voice response software. The deal was worth $335M in cash, or $8.25 per share. Convergys said it would buy Intervoice in July. Impact of the deal on local employment was not disclosed. Both companies provide solutions for phone-based customer service, including interactive voice response, contact center management, mobile messaging technology, and related areas. Convergys said that Intervoice had revenues of approximately $202M for its fiscal year, ended February 28, 2008.
