Austin-based National Instruments has acquired a developer of high speed, RF and high frequency electronic design automation (EDA) software. National Instruments said that it acquired California-based AWR, in a deal worth $58M, including the $7M in cash on AWR's balance sheet. The deal also includes an earn-out provision over three years. National Instruments said that it was advised by ThinkEquity in the deal, with Needham and Company advising AWR.
