Rittenmeyer to Chair EDS Board

Business process outsourcing firm EDS announced Tuesday that its board of directors has voted Ron Rittenmeyer, the company's president and chief executive officer, as chairman. EDS said Rittenmeyer will succeed Mike Jordan, who will resign from the board and become chairman emeritus. Jordan, who has been with EDS since March 2003, will remain with the company as a strategic advisor to the company's senior leadership team. Rittenmeyer's appointment will be effective Dec. 31, the Plano, Texas-based company added. Rittenmeyer joined EDS in 2005 as executive vice president of service delivery. After a stint as chief operating officer, he was promoted to president and CEO on Sept. 1.
