Silicon Laboratories Reveals Executive Changes
Silicon Laboratories Inc., a manufacturer of analog-intensive, mixed-signal integrated circuits, reported Monday that it has made two changes to its management staff. The Austin, Texas-based company said it has hired Carlos Garcia as general manager of its access product business, which includes voice and modem products. Silicon Labs also said it has promoted Mark Thompson to the role of general manager for its broadcast audio business, which includes the FM tuner and transmitter product lines. Prior to joining Silicon Labs, Garcia spent more than 10 years with LSI/Agere. Silicon Labs said Thompson has been with the company since 2000. Before that, he held product management roles at BMC Software and Freescale Semiconductor.
