A large contingent of Texas startups are headed to next week's DEMOfall conference in San Diego, based on the list released today by DEMOfall co-producer VentureBeat. According to the list, four companies are launching at the event -- Houston's 80legs, Austin's MicroAssist, Austin-based Piryx, and Dallas-based WhoDoYouKnowAt. DEMOfall also said that there are four Austin firms--out of 14 companies--who will provide "sneak previews" of their products, but aren't launching yet at the event, including Gelato Dating, Infochimps, Melior Technologies, and Ringful.
