Dallas-based Topaz Labs, a developer of image and video enhancement software, said this morning that the firm has released new software which helps improve the quality of JPEG images. According to Topaz, the firm's DeJPEG 3.0, which runs on Mac and Windows software, helps reverse artifact damage that comes about as a result of using JPEG compression techniques. The firm sells its software to photography and videography professionals and consumers.
