Tyler Technologies Inc., a provider of information management solutions and services for local governments, announced Tuesday that it has acquired EDP Enterprises Inc., a developer of financial- and student-information management software for Texas' public school districts. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Tyler, EDP was founded in 1981 and has installed its systems in more than 80 public school districts throughout the Lone Star State. Tyler added that the Longview, Texas-based company employs some 50 people and reported annual revenues of more than $4.5 million for its most recent fiscal year. Headquartered in Dallas, Tyler Technologies services more than 6,000 local governments in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom.
