Virtus Partners Buys Alphakinetic
Houston-based Virtus Partners, a developer of software for alternative asset managers, said this morning that it has acquired London-based Alphakinetic, a financial technology firm. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Alphakinetic develops fund management software, called Glide, used for trade order management, credit analysis and risk management at investment management companies. Virtus is led by Kelly Faykus, and says its software is used for managing $300 billion in global assets.
