Wipro Funds UNT Dallas In STEM Training Effort

Information technology and business process outsourcing giant Wipro is expanding a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) effort at the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas), the company announced on Thursday. According to Wipro, it has expanded its Wipro Science Education Fellowship program in the United States, which will involve more than 70 school teachers in the Greater Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), to help improve STEM teaching at local K-12 schools. Wipro said its efforts will focus on training educators to build leadership skills and teaching excellence within STEM disciplines. Wipro did not say how much it is investing in the program, which will entirely be funded by the company.
