Zayo Group Buys Another Dallas Data Center
Zayo Group, a Boulder, Colorado-based provider of fiber bandwidth and other related services, is doubling down on Dallas, and has purchased another data center facility in the city. According to Zayo, it has purchased a 36,000 square foot facility from Stream Data Centers, located at 1100 Empire Central Place, expanding its total footprint in Dallas to 61,000 square feet. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Zayo said it made the purchase as a result of demand from customers in both the technology and energy sectors. The company described the Dallas region as having "very health demand" for both colocation and data center services. Zayo's prior acquisitions in Texas include CoreXchange and CoreNap.
