BMC Buys Numara Software

Houston-based BMC Software said today that it has acquired Numara Software, a developer of IT management products. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Numara, which is basd in Tampa, Florida, develops a service and asset management product aimed at medium sized businesses. BMC said that Numara's products are complementary to its existing portfolio, and will continue to be offered by the company.
