BMC Software Acquires ProactiveNet

Houston, Texas-based BMC Software, a provider of enterprise management solutions, announced Tuesday that it has acquired ProactiveNet Inc., a developer of IT early warning software. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. BMC said the combination of its BSM for IT operations with ProactiveNet's unique capabilities will result in an advanced solution for customers interested in aligning IT services with business priorities. ProactiveNet's software is used for monitoring IT services and infrastructure such as software applications and hardware.
