Broadwing Acquisition Finalized

Colorado-based Level 3 Communications has completed its acquisition of Austin, Texas-based Broadwing Corporation, the firm said yesterday. The deal, which was announced in October of last year, is worth approximately $1.4B in cash and stock. Broadwing is a provider of data, voice, and media services for enterprises and service providers, and maintains its own intercity fiber network for the wholesale market.
