Cistera Networks Hires McDowell as CFO

Cistera Networks Inc., a developer of enterprise application platforms for the IP communications industry, reported Wednesday that it has hired Richard P. McDowell as chief financial officer. The 50-year-old McDowell succeeds company co-founder Cynthia Garr, who was filling the CFO role on an interim basis. Cistera described McDowell as a financial and treasury operations veteran with more than a quarter-century of experience. Before joining Cistera, he was chief financial officer for Dallas-based technology startup Enlightened Age Entertainment Inc. He also served as senior vice president and treasurer of Blockbuster Inc. Cistera Networks is headquartered in Plano, Texas.
