Convio Names Allison Engineering VP

Convio Inc., a software developer that specializes in helping non-profit corporations make use of the Internet, reported Wednesday that it has hired Gary Allison as its engineering vice president. He will report to Dave Hart, Convio's operations vice president. Boasting 20 years of software engineering, quality assurance and customer service experience, Allison previously worked as Simdesk Technologies Inc.'s senior vice president of software development, data center operations and customer service. Prior to Simdesk, Allison served as a developer and marketer at Pervasive Software. He graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University and holds a master's from the University of Houston, Clear Lake. Convio Inc. is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
