Partners over at Dallas-based venture capital investor Sevin Rosen Funds might just be breaking out the bubbly for lunch, after one of its portfolio firms--Splunk, debuted this morning in a huge debut on the Nasdaq. Splunk, whose other investors include August Capital,JK&B Capital, and Ignition Partners, priced last night at $17.00, well above its $11.00 to $13.00 estimated IPO range, and even farther above its earlier initial estimates of a range of $8.00 to $10.00 per share for its IPO. It was trading at over $32.00 a share in morning trading, rising as high as $34.75. Sevin Rosen owned 20.7 percent of Splunk before the IPO.
