Solera Buys Digidentity
Westlake, Texas-based Solera Holdings, which owns a large portfolio of companies and brands in the automotive and other technology areas, said this week that it has acquired Digidentity, a developer of technologies that secure and authenticate online identities. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Solera was already a shareholder in Digidentity, and had provided an early-stage, venture capital investment to Digidentity in 2010. Solera said Digidentity provides digital identity verification solutions for such customers as the governments of the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Solera is led by Tony Aquila; the company says it now has over 6,000 employees. Solera is backed by Vista Equity Partners, Koch Industries and Goldman Sachs.
