FilesAnywhere Ties Into Facebook
Dallas, Texas-based FilesAnywhere, the online file storage service backed by Marc Cuban, announced Wednesday that it has released a new application that enables free peer-to-peer file sharing for users of the popular Facebook social-networking Web site. To support the software, FilesAnywhere said it will provide Facebook users with 1 gigabyte of free storage. FilesAnywhere's online storage service now allows Facebook users to embed FilesAnywhere's features directly on their Facebook profiles through a Facebook widget; the service allows users to store and share music, photos, documents and other digital items, FilesAnywhere said. FilesAnywhere is partially owned by Internet entrepreneur and Broadcast.com founder Mark Cuban.
