SensorTran Appoints Board Member

SensorTran Inc., a supplier of fiber optic-based distributed temperature-sensing systems, reported Tuesday that it has named Phil Longorio to its board of directors. SensorTran said the appointment took effect Oct. 1. The Austin, Texas-based company described Longorio as a 30-plus-year veteran of the oil and gas industry, including a recent stint as chief executive officer of WellDynamics. Prior to that, SensorTran noted, Longorio served as vice president at Sperry-Sun. He also held various executive positions within Halliburton's business development and operations groups in the United States, Asia Pacific and Middle East, SensorTran added.
