The Planet Adds Windows Server 2008
Dedicated hosting provider The Planet revealed Monday that it has added Windows Server 2008 to its line of dedicated server operating systems. The Houston-based company said it is offering four editions of the operating system—Windows Web Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 Standard, Windows Server 2008 Enterprise and Windows Server 2008 Unauthenticated. The Planet noted that the license for Windows Web Server is free on single-processor servers. The Planet is a provider of web hosting services, and claims that it hosts more than 22,000 small- and medium-sized businesses and some 6.7 million Web sites worldwide.
