BMC Signs German Software Firm

Houston-based BMC Software, a publisher of Internet technology automation applications, revealed Thursday that a German software and IT service provider has selected BMC's BladeLogic Service Automation solution for its datacenter operations. The financial impact of the customer win was not disclosed. Founded in 1966 and headquartered in Nuremberg, DATEV provides accounting, business consulting, taxation and enterprise resource planning for tax consultants, auditors and lawyers. BMC said DATEV will use the BladeLogic Service Automation software to optimize, automate and manage all stages of its server lifecycle. BMC acquired BladeLogic earlier this year.
