Former Convio President Joins Venture Firm

Sheeraz Haji, former President of Austin-based Convio, and CEO and co-founder of GetActive, which Convio acquired in 2007, has joined a venture capital firm. According to Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm El Dorado Ventures, Haji will become an Enterpreneur-in-Residence for the firm. Haji will identify new investment opportunities for the venture firm in the areas of online marketing, web-based consumer applicaitons, software-as-a-service, and green consumer services. El Dorado Ventures was the first round backer of GetActive.
