Bazaarvoice Installs Svatek as Product Strategy VP

Bazaarvoice, a publisher of hosted social commerce and customer feedback applications, reported Monday that it has hired Mike Svatek as vice president of product strategy. In this newly created role, Bazaarvoice said, Svatek will supervise the growth of the Austin, Texas-based company's social commerce product line while continuing to meet the needs of its global customer base. Before joining Bazaarvoice, the company said, Svatek was a founding executive and vice president of marketing and product management at Baynote, where he helped lead the company out of stealth mode. He has also served as director of products at Interwoven and held various leadership positions with Cisco Systems, Dell and ExxonMobil.
