AeA Texas Names "Legends" Finalists
The AeA Texas Council, an industry group focused on the technology industry, said today that it has named Dal Berry, Matt Blanton, Pike Powers and Dr. James Truchard as finalists for the firm's upcoming "AeA Texas Legend Award." The award is given to recognize an individual who has played a part in the Texas high tech inudstry. Berry is former president and CEO of Graphic Sciences Inc., and has also served at Xerox. Blanton is managing director of STARTech, and was at Hewlett Packard and a VP of Engineering at Convex Computer. Powers is in charge of the Texas Technology Initiative, the $295M effort to bring technology firms to Texas. Finally, Truchard is co-founder of National Instruments, and currently President and CEO of the firm; Truchard founded National instruments in 1976. The AeA will name the winner on September 26th at an awards gala in Dallas.
