Pluck Expands Tools

Austin-based Pluck announced this morning that the firm has expanded its set of social media tools. According to the firm, it has rolled out a new offering called Pluck SiteLife Groups. The new tools allow visitors to web sites to create their own communities around specific interest areas. Pluck, which provides it tools to web publishers, said the new tool is being used by such customers as Conde Nast's SELF.com and NPR for their community initiatives. The tool allows both administrator and users on the site to create their own specialized communities featuring forums, events, video and photo galleries, and other social networking tools. Pluck is owned by Demand Media.
