Ceterus Networks Acquired By Competitor
Richardson, Texas-based Ceterus Networks, a manufacturer of telecommunications hardware, has been acquired by a competitor, Overture Networks. Terms of the deal, which Overture announced Tuesday, were not disclosed. Overture said the absorption of Ceterus' product family, which includes fiber optic-Ethernet access solutions for cell site backhaul, will complement Overture's line of business service offerings. Overture said the combined company will remain headquartered in Research Triangle Park, N.C., but will maintain a technology center in Richardson. David Stehlin, formerly Ceterus' president and chief executive, will serve as Overture’s new president. Jeff Reedy will continue as Overture's CEO, the company indicated.
