BMC Software Garners National Defense Contracts

A day after announcing several customer wins among dozens of national civilian agencies, BMC Software Inc. revealed Thursday that it has been designated the business service management vendor of choice for several U.S. defense sector customers. The Houston-based developer of information technology applications counted many service branch organizations among its recently expanded roster of defense clientele. The new customers included two Air Force bases, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Army Corp of Engineers, the Defense Department, the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Military Sealift Command and the U.S. Central, Southern, Army Recruiting and Special Operations commands. The financial impact of the customer wins was not disclosed.
