Dallas Makes List As Top High-Tech Center
The Dallas-Plano-Irving metro area has made the top ten of a list of "top high-tech centers" released this week by economic analysis group The Milken Institute. According to the Milken Institute, in its "North America's High-Tech Economy: The Geography of Knowledge-Based Industries," report, Dallas was number 6 in its list of areas in terms of their ability to grow and sustain high tech industries. Silicon Valley topped the list at number one; Austin-Round Rock was ranked down at number 20, and Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown was ranked number 21.
