ACS Signs Wellpoint

Business process outsourcing firm Affiliated Computer Services announced Monday that it will provide communications services for the nation's largest health benefits company. The financial impact of the customer win was not disclosed. ACS said the new contract represents an extension of its 20-year relationship with WellPoint Inc., which boasts the largest medical membership of any benefits company in the United States, ACS claimed. The Dallas-based firm noted that it will provide WellPoint with printing, mailroom and member fulfillment services as well as outbound communications to WellPoint's affiliated health plan members and providers. WellPoint is headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind.
