NextIO Taps Avnet For Distribution

Austin-based NextIO, which is develop I/O virtualization products for the data center market, said today that it is in a deal with electronics distributor Avnet Technology Solutions. NextIO said that Avnet will be the firm's primary integration partner and distributor of its products to IBM resellers in the U.S. and Canada. NextIO is venture backed by Adams Capital Management, Crescendo Ventures, Dell Computer, JK&B Capital, and VentureTech Alliance. NextIO inked a $15M, Series D funding round back in June.
