Crossroads Names New Chairman

Austin-based Crossroads Systems, a developer of data backup and storage products, said Wednesday that it has appointed Don Pearce as the firm's new Chairman. The firm also said that Elliott Brackett has been named Chairman of its Compensation Committee. Pearce is currently at Alliance Technology Group, and has previously served at IBM, Amdahl, Tarantella, StorageTek and Sun Microsystems. Both Brackett and Pearce were previously on the firm's board, with Brackett having been on the board since September of 2008, and Pearce having joined in May of 2009. Pearce replaces David Riegel in the Chairman position; no reason for the switchup was given, and Riegel is no longer listed on the firm's web site as a board member.
