Versata Gets $138M In Patent Lawsuit Against SAP
Austin's Versata Software, a developer of business software for the enterprise market, reports this morning that the firm has won a $138M award in a patent infringement suit against SAP America. Versata said the award follows a seven-day trial in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division. The patent lawsuit covered two patents covering pricing technology. The patents in question were U.S. Patents 6,553,350 B2 and 5,878,400.
