Houston Zoo Gets Own iPhone App
The Houston Zoo said today that it has just launched its own iPhone application, a GPS-enabled application for Apple's popular iPhone, which allows guests to access photos, videos, and display their location on a map. The zoo said the new application--which was developed by Austin's Avai Mobile Solutions--makes it one of only two zoos with its own iPhone application. The application is available for free from Apple's App Store. According to the Zoo, the new application was designed to give visitors "instant information" about the zoo, so they can make the most of their visit. The new app also links to the Houston Zoo's own Twitter stream.
