Digby Buys Movaya

Austin-based Digby, a developer of mobile ecommerce applications for retailers, said today that it has acquired mobile software firm Movaya Wireless. Movaya was based in Seattle. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Digby said the acquisition of Movaya will extend its current platform and overall production capacity. The deal also includes the acquisition of Movaya's Chinese operations, Movaya Chengu Technology, Ltd. which Digby said will become the basis of Digby Chendu Technology, Ltd. As part of the deal, Movaya co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Stanley Wang joins Digby as Vice President of Engineering. Movaya developed iPhone, Android, and other mobile applications.
