M.D. Anderson Links With Biometrics Firm
A Florida-based developer of biometrics equipment and fingerprint sensors, Sonavation, said today that it is in a research deal with the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Sonavation said it is working with M.D. Anderson on a new, ultrahigh frequency ultrasound technology it says can beused to help treat skin cancer, other dermatological conditions, and cosmetics. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The company said that the collaboratoin uses its transducer technology--which is used as part of its biometric fingerprint sensor solutions--as part of the collaboration.
