Convio Files For IPO
Austin-based Convio, a developer of software used to manage nonprofits, has filed for an IPO, saying in a SEC filing this morning that the firm is looking to raised up to $57.5M in an IPO on the NASDAQ Global Market. The IPO is being underwritten by Thomas Weisel Partners, Piper Jaffray, William Blair & Co., JMP Securities, and Pacific Crest Securities. The firm reported a net loss of $2.0M on revenues of $63.0M for its year ended December 31, 2009. Convio is backed by Granite Ventures, Austin Ventures, El Dorado Ventures, Adams Street Partners, Silverton Partners, Pacific Partners, Rembrandt Venture, and others.
