GENBAND Backs Voice-over-LTE

Plano-based GENBAND said this morning that it is backing an effort to provide the GSMA voice over LTE (VoLTE) initiative, an effort to develop standards for delivering voice and messaging over new, Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks. GENBAND claimed the VoLTE initiative has "broad support" from key, tier 1 telecommunications operators. GEMNBAND is a developer of hardware used by telecom carriers for buildilng out their networks.
