Spiceworks Ramps Partner Program
Austin-based IT management software firm Spiceworks unveiled a new partner program today, saying that it is looking to help provider of cloud-based services to reach the 1 million IT professionals using its software. The firm said its new "Reach" partner program includes APIs and services to help make their cloud-based services manageable through the firm's software. Spiceworks said that so far, it has signed partners Rackspace, HP, and Symantec to the program. The company is dividing the program into three parts, covering cloud service inventory and monitoring, cloud management plug-ins, and cloud service distribution. Spiceworks is backed by Institutional Venture Partners (IVP), Austin Ventures and Shasta Ventures.
