Harland Clarke Subsidiary Buys Software Firm

San Antonio-based Harland Clarke Holdings Corp., a provider of a wide range of products for the financial market, reported Thursday afternoon that its education subsidiary, Scantron Corporation, has acquired software firm Spectrum K12 School Solutions. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Spectrum K12 School Solutions develops educational software used to evaluate student progress. Scantron is a provider of testing products for the educational market.
