Dell To Put $10M Into Education Initiatives
Round Rock-based Dell said this week that it is putting $10M in cash, and Dell technology, towards education technology initiatives next year. Dell said the effort is in conjunction with the United Nations Private Sector Forum on the Millennium Development Goals. Dell said more than 70 percent of the funds will go to help young people in underserved communities outside of the United States, to help young people learn. The firm said it invested $8M in the program in 2009, reaching 350,000 children in eight countries.
