Hyperformix Acquired By CA

Austin-based Hyperformix, a developer of capacity management software for enterprises, has been acquired by CA, CA announced Tuesday. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. According to CA, the acquisition will help it in the area of virtualization management, including virtualization capacity management that complements its existing products in virtualization, automation, and assurance. Hyperformix had been backed by LTI, M/C Venture Partners, Morgan Stanley, Silicon Valley Bank, and The Lambda Funds. Hyperformix is headed by Peter Klante.
