Dell Social Innovation Contest Deadline Approaches

The deadline for the 2011 Dell Social Innovation Competition, the joint competition run by Dell and the University of Texas for university students, is approaching on February 14th, the firm said today. Dell said it is awarding more than $100,000 in prize money to university students developing innovative social ideas to meet areas of critical human need. The competition is the fifth year for the event, which has a top prize of $50,000 to start up a new business or nonprofit. Last year, the competition had more than 1,000 entries from 55 countries.
