RF Code Designed Into Data Center Power Product

Austin-based RF Code and datacenter power products firm Geist said today that they have integrated RF Code's monitoring products into Geists' Power Distribution Units (PDUs). The PDUs are used in data centers to power to data center infrastructure such as servers and storage. The two said that the use of RF Code's sensor tags provide a more affordable power monitoring alternative to traditional, wired approaches, which typically required Ethernet connectivity. RF Code's products instead use RFID to monitor data center power usage information. Financial details of the integration deal were not disclosed.
