Dachis Group Forms Advisory Council

Austin-based Dachis Group, the social business consulting firm, said this morning that it has created a new, advisory group called the Social Business Council. The firm said the new council is an outgrowth of its existing, 2.0 Adoption Council. The firm said the new council is aimed at connecting social media evangelists and practitioners, and will help in peer-to-peer knowledge sharing. Dachis said the group will be open to IT professionals, management, or others who are actively engaged in the strategic development or delivery of any aspect of a Social Business initiative or program within a large business. Dachis serves such clients as AT&T, BBC, Citibank, Coca-Cola, Estée Lauder, General Electric, HBO, Hewlett Packard, Nestlé, Target, and UBS. The firm is headed by Jeffrey Dachis, and venture backed by Austin Ventures.
